GENERAL DENTISTRY

The everyday care that prevents big problems.

Checkups, cleanings, fillings, crowns and gum care — the prevention-first foundation of a smile that stays healthy for life.

OVERVIEW

Quiet problems, caught early.

Most dental issues start silently — a hairline crack, the first sign of decay, gums that have begun to recede. General dentistry at Ora is about finding those things before they hurt, and handling them with the lightest possible touch.

Every routine visit includes a whole-mouth assessment, gentle professional cleaning, and an honest conversation about anything we see. No upselling — just a clear plan to keep you out of trouble.

WHAT THIS INCLUDES:
  • Comprehensive exams & digital x-rays
  • Professional cleanings & polishing
  • Tooth-coloured fillings
  • Crowns, inlays & onlays
  • Gum health checks & periodontal care
  • Personalized recare scheduling

THE PROCESS

What a checkup looks like

STEP 01

Assess

A full whole-mouth assessment with modern digital scans — we map exactly what’s going on before touching anything.

STEP 02

Clean & treat

A gentle, thorough cleaning, plus any small fillings or repairs handled the same day where possible.

STEP 03

Plan ahead

A clear FutureProof Smile Plan™ and a recare cadence that fits your mouth, not a one-size schedule.

THE BENEFITS

Why routine care here feels different

  • Less drilling over a lifetime, thanks to early detection.
  • Calm, unhurried visits — never rushed in and out.
  • Honest recommendations, even when that means doing nothing.
  • One team that knows your whole history.

GOOD TO KNOW

Frequently asked questions.

For most healthy adults, every six months. If you’re prone to gum issues or decay, we may suggest a tighter cadence — your FutureProof Smile Plan™ spells it out clearly.

Modern tooth-coloured fillings are quick and comfortable. We numb the area gently and check in with you the whole way through. Most patients are surprised by how easy it is.

A routine cleaning removes plaque and tartar above the gumline. A deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) treats early gum disease below the gumline — we’ll only recommend it if your gums actually need it.

Usually, yes. We try to handle small repairs during your checkup so you’re not making extra trips.
