Common emergencies

We've seen it all — gently.

If something hurts, looks wrong, or just doesn't feel right, call us. We'd rather you check.

Severe toothache

Throbbing or persistent pain often means infection — don't wait it out, call us.

Chipped or broken tooth

We can smooth, bond, or crown a damaged tooth to protect it and ease discomfort.

Knocked-out tooth

Time matters — keep the tooth moist and call immediately for the best chance to save it.

Lost filling or crown

A quick repair stops sensitivity and keeps the tooth protected.

Abscess or swelling

Facial swelling and gum infections need prompt care to stop them spreading.

Soft-tissue injuries

Cuts to the lips, gums, or cheeks — we'll clean, assess, and help you heal.

What to do

First steps before you reach us.

Stay calm — these quick steps can ease pain and protect your tooth on the way in.

Knocked-out tooth

Hold it by the crown (not the root), gently rinse, and try to place it back in the socket or keep it in milk. Call us right away.

Severe toothache

Rinse with warm salt water, floss gently to remove anything trapped, and take over-the-counter pain relief. Avoid placing aspirin on the gum.

Broken tooth

Save any pieces, rinse your mouth with warm water, and use a cold compress on the cheek to reduce swelling until we see you.

Lost crown or filling

Keep the crown if you have it, avoid chewing on that side, and call us — temporary dental cement from a pharmacy can help in the meantime.
