The meet & greet
A 30-minute conversation between you and one of our physicians, no charge. We talk about what you're looking for; you ask anything you want about how Atrium works. Most happen by video; in-person is welcome at our SoMa office.
Becoming a member is four phases over about three weeks. Care, once you're in, has a different rhythm than fee-for-service medicine. This page is the longer explanation.
A 30-minute conversation between you and one of our physicians, no charge. We talk about what you're looking for; you ask anything you want about how Atrium works. Most happen by video; in-person is welcome at our SoMa office.
If we both want to proceed, the physician makes you an offer of membership. You decide on your timeline. There is no sales pressure; we screen for fit because the panels are small and we want long-term relationships.
We collect your full prior records before this visit (Atrium pays a record-retrieval service). Your physician reads them. The first appointment is 90 minutes — we go through your history, your goals, your concerns, and we order baseline labs.
You leave with the physician's mobile number, the secure-messaging app, and the next visit on the calendar. From there, you reach your physician directly — no front desk, no PCP-on-call, no portal voicemail.
Same-day visits in person or by video. Most members message the physician first; same-hour video for anything acute.
90-minute visit. Full physical, baseline labs, lifestyle review, mental-health screen, age-appropriate cancer screening, vaccinations.
Hypertension, diabetes, lipid management, depression, anxiety. Ongoing follow-up, medication titration, and care-plan adjustment in regular visits.
We pick the specialist personally, hand off the chart, and read every consult note. We translate it into next steps for you.
Members reach the on-call physician directly nights and weekends. Median response time after hours: 14 minutes.
We travel with you (in spirit). Members can reach us 24/7 from anywhere. We coordinate care abroad when needed.
No charge. No obligation. Both sides are deciding.
